It's Monday! What Are You Reading? #7

This is a weekly event hosted by Sheila from One Persons Journey Through a World of Books. The main purpose of this meme is to discuss what we've been reading in the past week as well as those that will be read within this week. Do click on the image above to participate and join the fun!
Last week was a good week. Not just in term of reading, but also some other things that have been going on in my life. The books I read in the past week were amazing and I felt like I breeze through the pages without even realising it!

Books that I managed to read were (Links to my reviews):
(1) The Gift by Cecelia Ahern: A fantastic magical read that left me with a lot to ponder about.
(2) Salem Falls by Jodi Picoult: Finished this one in a day, that tells a lot!
(3) Vampire Diaries by LJ Smith: Different from the series but still great, regardless =)

I've planned to read the following books (Links to Goodreads):
(1) The Waitress by Melissa Nathan
(2) The Lost Boy by Dave Pelzer
(3) The Host by Stephenie Meyer

I've managed to compile quite a few interesting international contests in my previous post. So, if anyone of you are interested to chime in, you may click here. Hoping that this week pattern will be the same/better than the last. Have a blast this week, people. Until later! =)

  1. yup, i think you enjoy all the books you've read. i've been wanting to join any contest/giveaways but have no time to make all the effort..but, a very best of luck to you Shy!

p/s: i have Salem Fall but have to wait to read it. reading your review (which is great) really makes me too eager to read it, but has to wait, sadly.

  3. I'm gonna be reading the first two books of the Vampire Diaries this week.

As for Broken, I enjoyed it. probably too much. I'm not a typical steamy, sexy romance reader but it was really good! That said, if you'd like my copy, I'd be more than happy to mail it to you. Just send me an email at changingmydefinition @ yahoo.com if you want it.

  4. I've read A Child Called it, but didn't go on to the other books in the series so I am looking forward to your review of Lost Boy. Students at my school seem to like the entire series.

  5. Have not read the host although I bought it back when it first came out for my classroom. Love Jodi Picoult and could read one of her book in a day too they are just that good. Hope you have a great week.

  6. I keep meaning to read The Host, but I should probably read Breaking Dawn first, just on general principles. :-) Oh, and thanks for telling me about Changeless! I'm checking it out now! I'm glad you had a good week and hope this week is just as good or better!

  7. Loved both The Lost Boy and A Child Called It.

Don't you LOVE when a book is so good you read it in one day! Mmm, mmm!

Glad you had a good week, both reading and otherwise. That's always nice :)

  9. I love Jodi Picoult but there are several of her books I haven't read yet. The new one looks fantastic but I am going to wait a few months before I even attempt to get it from a library.

I read Vampire Diaries when it was first published and I liked it but never got to finish the series. The Gift looks like an interesting book. I loved P.S. I Love You but that is the only Cecelia Ahern book I've read so far. I hope you enjoy your books this week.

    Here is what I'm reading.

Thanks for the review on Jodi's book---I was on the fence about that one (whether to pick it up or not)

I LOVE Meg Cabot's other series, in response to your question. I adore her writing.
