This is a weekly event hosted by J. Kaye's Book Blog to discuss what we've been reading in the past week as well as those that will be read within this week. Do click on the image above to participate and join the fun!
The past week has not been very fruitful for me in term of finishing off the books that I've planned to read. Books that I managed to complete last week:
Books to be read this week:
(2) Mr. Maybe by Jane Green
(3) Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris
Hoping this will be a better week! Now it's your turn, what you've been reading so far?
hi shy!you are planning to start reading sookie stackhouse series already..? wah..i am so jealous! =p have a good read shy
ReplyDeleteI think I'm up to book 6 in the Sookie series, they are fun entertainment. I'm a huge fan of Jodie Picoult and James Patterson but I didnt really enjoy Sunday at Tiffany's.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great reading week :-)
@Darlyn: Yes! Finally I'm going to savour her books =) I've watched True Blood season 1 & 2 and they got me totally hooked. So I'm very sure that the book will give the same effect (or even more!) on me :D
ReplyDelete@Teddyree: Tbh, I've never read any other books by Patterson, so I cannot compare this to his other writing. Perhaps its simplicity do attract me, but I wish so wish that the book was not that short.
I have Sundays at Tiffany's on my shelf. I won it from another blog. It will be my first Patterson : )
ReplyDeletestill, it's such an envy... (TT)
ReplyDeleteHave fun reading the books you are planning to read.
ReplyDeleteI want to start the books from Charlaine Harris too, i will wait till your reviews. LOL!

ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to reading the Sookie books.
ReplyDeleteI love anything by Picoult ! This one os on my list as well. Your review made me curious but I like my endings to leave no questions and be actual endings !
ReplyDelete@Darlyn: I'm pretty sure that soon you'll pick up her books as well ;)
ReplyDelete@Nina: Thank you for the information regarding Terry Pratchett's books. I think I'd have to invest on one of his soon and see if I like it! I've "Good Omen" written by him and Neil Gaiman but haven't yet read it.
@CJ: Yes! Dead Until Dark is the first installment in Sookie Stackhouse series. If you're a big fan of True Blood, I don't think you'll have any problem liking this novel as well ;)
@Stacy: I did read Second Glance in the past year and really enjoyed it. Hope that you'll enjoy yours as well
@Msslaydbug: Would be interesting to know what you think of the book once you've read them. Who knows, you might be among those who like it?
it's my first time doing this meme so it's fun seeing what everyone else is reading. have a great reading week!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't have a great reading week last week either and am hoping to read more this week. I haven't read The Pact yet but I just finished Handle with Care and enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you have a great reading week! :D Nice list of books BTW!
ReplyDeleteI know I shouldn't be jealous that you are reading a Sookie book. All it would take would be to get off my rear and do the same...lol. But I am. Ugh! I keep saying I need to catch up on that series, but still haven't.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to check out your review on Patterson's book. I really enjoyed that one.
Have fun reading this week!
@J.Kaye: I've read about half of Sookie book and really enjoyed it! Think you should start reading it soon :D
ReplyDeleteShy, I've started them. I think I'm up to book three now. I just can't seem to find the time to get caught up.
ReplyDelete@J.Kaye: I can truly understand that. I really admire your accomplishment on "365 Days of Novel Writing". Reading your daily progress actually gives me some ideas on how to be more organise w/ my everyday stuffs. Setting a short term goals and trying to get them done daily seems like a very good way to start =)
